Seriously, do i have to explain how awesome the april 21st event was??!! I drove the car like i stole it, it drove EXTREMLY well, had no issues the day, except for hitting jonathan! It bent a couple of arms but i want to give a shout out to Howard smith for helping me through enjuku to get some parts! Chris Ward for his amazing driving, and his willingness to let me drive with him!! Americas Best Automotive for the alignment there going to get for me! Mark McDonald for the super welding skills! And Brian Phillips for the pre tech inspection at turner field made me rethink my whole plan going into Road Atlanta!

Tandem Time

Me and Stancel had a lot of seat time together and i believe we drove great, he is an awesome driver to follow, also he is SUPER FAST.  Here is one of our runs from vimeo.  I’m looking forward to driving with him and alex! All in all, even though my slave cylinder went out i had an awesome time and drove great! I cant wait till the next one!

First Atlanta drift event of the 2012 season

S2 hosted the “Drift Now, The Mayans Might Be Right” event. It was at Turner Field in Atlanta. Johnny, Alex, and myself were in the same tandem groups so were able to get a far amount of tandem drift runs with each other. Enough talking, now for the drift pictures:

Trying to catch up.

I must say today was the most epic day ever.

To set it all up…..

two rt-615s, and two nexen n7000, on the car….

And then this came in the mail…=]

Bruce sent me this amazing pack full of stickers, a hat, and an AWESOME T-SHIRT!! Thank you! go check out there website at www.moderndriveline.com They have helped me in an awesome way!! We rocked their gear off till we couldnt no more!!

Starting off the day was great! Had a ball, track was similar to road atlanta, howard said it was as close as he could get it! He did great, the only problem was the parking lot was just sealed and was slick as ice.  Had a few troubles at the middle of the day but i cant complain! A few pics and videos up shortly tommorw!

Bring on the Wrecking.

To bad it sucks.

What makes my car move.

So recently I have had a cracked bellhousing and my bracket i had was no good.  So I did a lot of research.  I kept finding the conversions, and kits but nothing that was any good or looked like it would hold up to the weight of drifting with every clutch kick and every ebrake grab.  So i finally found these guys.

They had quality parts, and quality kits, I’ve already ordered a willwood pedal and willwood master cylinder which both work flawlessly.  But i had one last problem my slave cylinder.  My previous mounts were putting pressure on everything.  It worked for about 11 months and finally cracked my bellhousing.

Here is the bracket

I should say the new one.  this one mounts right on to my t-5 transmission and sets right behind the clutch fork.  This is the ONLY slave clyinder i can find that will provide the full throw to disengage the clutch.   I am mounted up and driving it daily.  I have never had such  smooth pedal fell.  I was so worried coming into this year of driving that my clutch pedal would be hard and i’m forced to push myself way to hard just to make sure my clutch would disengage. But now i have no problem driving, and driving it harder then i’ve ever been able to.

I will follow up on some pictures with the install sense being in a 240 is very different! Thank you Modern Driveline!

Back in the saddle

Finally after a long wait, and alot of work, and a lot of hammering i finally have a fully working, properly working hydralic clutch system for my car……i purchased a new bracket, slapped it on, and drove it to go get gas….

Turner field, lets do this.

I wonder what it would be like?

To have highlighter wheels and a fancy gauge cluster.

I think i’m ready for a change.

The Rumors Are True.

Ive been doing a lot of work lately, well, what i can do. I’m waiting on a new bracket to come in for my clutch.  IN THE MEAN TIME!!! I’ve been doing a little work during this off time.  I picked up the rest of a kit…..yes a body kit.  I finally have a matching set of rims and a body kit, now i just need a paint job.

I’ve also been working on a dash panel for my car to put all my gauges and such! will get a photo up soon!  The days are drawing near for turner field!!! I cant wait!

Boom.

What a week. The start of last week, I should say; I was working out the bugs in my clutch AND boom.  I heard this loud pop, i thought no problem it’s hapen before but…..this is what i found to be a suprise.

the cause: The bracket my cousin and i made put a lot of pressure on the bellhousing, in return, it busted.  I will be getting it welded back up and braced.  The days are drawing near till the first turner field…..then finally road atlanta.

I’m ready to accept all challenges that come my way!
